CAD / CAM Technology (E4D)
At Mill Creek Dental, we can provide same-day porcelain restorations using the latest CAD/CAM (E4D) technology. Porcelain onlays, inlays and crowns can be made in our office within the same day in certain scenarios. The CAD/CAM (E4D) technology allows us to scan the prepared tooth, design the final restoration using a computerized design center, and virtually send the information wirelessly to an in-office milling station. The milled restoration can then be adjusted, characterized with color, prepared in a dental oven and polished to a final luster. By utilizing this CAD/CAM technology we eliminate the need for impressions and the permanent restoration is ready to be seated in your mouth in the same day or even within a single appointment. This also eliminates the need to wear a temporary for weeks at a time and the need to come back for another appointment to get the final restoration.
We strive to be at the forefront of the latest technology at Mill Creek Dental. We utilize technology and procedures when indicated to provide our patients with the greatest comfort and convenience. The CAD/CAM (E4D) technology is one way we are striving to provide our patients with a service that allows less appointments and does away with temporary restorations in the weeks it takes for a lab fabricated porcelain restoration. Our patients’ well-being and comfort is our top priority for every appointment and experience in our office.
Please feel free to ask Dr. Chin and her knowledgeable team about the utilization of the CAD/CAM (E4D) technology. We will gladly show give you an in office demonstration of how the technology works and how it may be the perfect procedure to get your porcelain restorations done in a timely fashion. We are excited to provide a service that is technologically advanced and implemented for the best patient experience.
